FAQ

Q: Do you deliver every single image?
A: No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. Unedited images are not available to my clients. The creative editing process is part of the reason you hire a professional! If you book a Full Session, you will receive every shot worth giving!

Q: How long will our session last?
A: I try to keep most sessions between 30 and 60 minutes long. I typically don’t like to place a specified time limit on them, because sometimes kids rule the world. If they take a little longer to warm up, we follow their lead! If they show up ready to roll, we knock them out quickly and let them off the hook asap! I’m more focused on getting the shots we need!

Q: Do you edit every image you do deliver to the client?
A: Yes, I do. Every image I deliver is post produced with my unique style. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images from your session. I want you to get what you see!

Q: When can I expect to see the final images from my session?
A: My post production time is usually about 2 weeks or less. I will communicate if circumstances change that time frame.

Q: What rights do I have to the digital images?
A: You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell the images for profit or publish them without the written consent of Lacie White Photography.

Q: What if I lose my images?
A: There is a $50 replacement charge for additional downloads after the event has been archived. I strongly suggest you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it.

Q: Is there a fee to pay with a credit card?
A: Yes. The retail adjustment fee for all credit card transactions is 4% of the charged amount.

Q: If we cancel the session, will we receive our retainer fee back?
A: Unfortunately no. Retainer fees are used to reserve your session time. However, I understand that unforeseen events can happen, so I try to work on alternatives if possible – e.g. find a new date for a
session (up to two times).

Q: Where will my session take place?
A: I am a natural light photographer, as often as I can be. I am always open to the client suggesting a location, but if they are unsure…I have a select few that I use as my go-tos.

Q: What if my child is fussy or misbehaving?
A: Please don’t worry! It’s completely normal for child to become fussy at least once during the session, and we can take as many breaks as we need. I have all the patience in the world, and I happen to think children are cute no matter what mood they’re in! Let’s capture them in their natural state…it will be a good memory to look back on someday, either way!

Q: Can we recreate the Pinterest picture I have found?
A: Pinterest is best used as an initial source of inspiration, rather than a strict guideline for your photographer. If we’re focused on recreating someone else’s photos, that will leave us less time to create shots that showcase the unique aspects of your family. If you do want to use Pinterest to help you plan your session, look at it as general inspiration — for instance, use it to figure out what style of photos you like, and then search for a photographer whose images match that style.

Q: What if we get rained out or it’s too windy?
A: There is no fee to reschedule to a new date due to inclement weather. Texas weather can be unpredictable and change quickly, so I typically wait to call off a session until the morning of.

Q: Can extended family members join in the session?
A: Session prices reflect immediate family for the majority of my sessions. However, if additional family members may be added for $15/person.

Q: Do you offer a Military Discount?
A: ABSOLUTELY! I offer a 10% discount to all Military, Law Enforcement Officer, and Firefighter families! I can’t begin to thank you enough for your service.

Q: What clothing should be chosen for my session?
A: My goal is to create time pieces that you want to proudly display in your home! I typically encourage clients to wear neutral colors that you won’t feel clash with any room in your house. I do not recommend everyone in the shot matching identically (i.e- everyone wearing a solid white polo shirt.) Try to incorporate different shade, textures, and tame patterns.

Q: Where should I print my images?
A: I DO NOT recommend printing your images at Target, Walmart, CVS, or other big box stores. These labs are not designed to handle printing professional photography. I recommend an excellent online-based consumer lab that offers professional-quality prints. My two preferred sites are Mpix.com and Millers.com. If you must order from somewhere else, I have had mostly successful experiences with Costco and Shutterfly.
